This policy explains the limited information collected when you use Watt My Roof and the third-party analytics service currently used on the site.

Information you enter in the calculator
Watt My Roof does not require an account. Calculator choices—such as home size, appliances, monthly kWh, panel wattage, sun hours and desired offset—are processed in your browser to display an estimate. Watt My Roof does not intentionally store those calculator values as a submitted customer record.
Google Analytics
Watt My Roof uses Google Analytics to understand general site use and improve the calculator and guides. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, referring source, visit timing and interactions with site features. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, including a first-party cookie used to distinguish visits and sessions.
We use this information in aggregate to understand traffic, identify usability problems and measure which content is useful. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or calculator input values to Google Analytics.

Sale of personal information
Watt My Roof does not sell or rent personal information. If the site’s data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the change is represented as covered by this version.

The site may link to installers, manufacturers, retailers, government resources or other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. A link may be an affiliate link when clearly identified; see the Affiliate Disclosure.
Data retention and security
Analytics information is retained according to the settings and policies of the analytics service. Reasonable measures are used to protect the website, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Watt My Roof is intended for a general adult audience planning household energy projects and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not knowingly request personal information from children.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may block or delete cookies through your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out tool linked above. Depending on your location, you may also have rights regarding personal information. Privacy questions or requests may be sent to privacy@wattmyroof.com.
